Chiropractors can diagnose and treat
health care problems, as well as
refer patients to other health care
practitioners when appropriate.
Numerous research studies have
demonstrated positive effects of
chiropractic care in treating acute
and chronic pain. These findings
were cited in various professional
peer-reviewed medical,
physiological, and public health
journals throughout the
US and Internationally.
Educational requirements for
chiropractors are among the most
stringent in the health care
professions. Typically, a
chiropractic applicant has four
years of pre-medical undergraduate
college education. Once accepted
into an accredited chiropractic
college, the requirements are five
additional academic years of study.
